The TÜRKAK Certificate Verification System (TBDS), launched on 15 January 2025 and announced publicly in its initial release, was developed to ensure the authenticity of certificates issued by accredited organizations in the field of calibration, to promote fair competition among accredited calibration laboratories, and to enhance the reliability of data used in assessments.
Based on feedback received from the sector and meetings held with stakeholders, a second public announcement was made to update the mandatory implementation date to 1 June 2025. During this period, several enhancements were made to improve system efficiency and address stakeholder feedback. Technical support was also provided throughout the transition process.
At this stage, system improvements have been completed in line with stakeholder input and outcomes of sectoral meetings. Internal testing has been carried out within TÜRKAK, and the beta version of the system has been made available for trial use. Potential users have been invited to test the beta version.
To support users in adapting to the system and to facilitate a smoother transition, it has been decided that the official implementation date will remain unchanged, but feedback collection and technical support efforts will continue throughout June. All accredited organizations are expected to complete their system integration without delay and begin actively using TBDS no later than the end of June.
Additionally, the guides for manual data entry and web service integration have been updated in alignment with the new system version, based on feedback from both user organizations and service provider software companies.
In response to user requests, TBDS has been improved to allow multiple users to be defined under a single organization account. With this update, users will be able to manage the certificate verification process more flexibly and efficiently. Users other than the designated organization representative can be added by following the steps below:
Navigate to the “Documents” page, under the “CAB Documents” section, and access the relevant commitment form via the “Commitments” tab. The form must be signed by the authorized signatory previously registered in the ASİST Portal.
From the “Management Page,” click the “Add” button to open the user entry form for the new personnel.
For users entering data via web service, select the “Web Service” account type. Complete the “API Key,” “Secret Key,” “Description,” and “Accessible Files” fields, then click save.
For users entering data manually, select the “TBDS Representative” account type. Complete the fields for “Accessible Files,” “Nationality,” “First Name,” “Last Name,” “Gender,” “Email,” “National ID Number,” and “Date of Birth.”
Detailed information regarding user login and account assignment can be found in Section 5 of the TBDS User Guide for Organizations Using Manual Entry.
We kindly request the attention and active participation of all our stakeholders in this implementation process.
